He had his professional training with Peat Marwick Ani Ogunde & Co. which was later transformed to KPMG Audit but has now been absorbed by Delloit Akintola Williams & Co. He joined the Firm in August, 1987 and has since attended various courses in Nigeria,South Africa, Europe and USA including a brief attachment to the London office of the UK member firm in 1992. He became a Partner in October, 1993 and is currently the Managing Partner in the Firm.
He joined the Firm in July 2001 as a qualified member of staff having obtained his training in another firm of Chartered Accountants. His professional training with the Firm included attending various courses and seminars in Nigeria and South Africa. He became a Partner in July 2004. He is a thorough bred professional in audit, taxation, financial reporting and auditing standards. His practice and assurance experience spans over two decades and covers financial services, construction, banking, insurance and public sector consultancy.
Babajide is a seasoned chartered accountant and finance expert with over a decade of experience in internal and external audit, IFRS consulting, tax, and accounting roles that cut across financial services, oil and gas, manufacturing, media, to mention a few. He was once internal auditor, a financial controller and also was with PwC assisting several blue-chip clients in resolving complex accounting and audit issues by providing tested accounting advice and guidance. He was a federal government university merit scholar and recipient of several awards for academic excellence. He is a member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and a graduate of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers of Nigeria. He is a regular speaker and trainer on finance and financial reporting papers.
